'Where do you want to go to eat?"

"Oh I saw this place on Instagram, it looks class"

"That looks amazing, let's try it!"

Imagine the above scenario happening with your business, are you making the best first impression possible? Well, let's talk about it.

First impressions matter. We know we shouldn't judge a book by its cover but we all do it anyway and these days, social media is often the first experience customers have with our businesses. So how can you make sure your business is making the best impression possible?

1. Brand Them

All Accounts

Make sure all your platforms have your logo/the same image on display so your visitors know they are in the right place. As you can see below, it's difficult to know that the first 3 accounts are the same brand. Also try your best to have the same/very similar usernames so that your brand can be very easily found from a search. Lastly, if you are using a platform with a header, use this as a great opportunity to showcase what your brand does.

2. Make Good Use of Instagram Highlights

Instagram

Instagrams highlight function is a great way to give viewers quick context/answer common questions about your business. Creating simple icons in your brand colours can help viewers navigate through these with ease.

3. Choose the Right Tabs for Your Business on Facebook

Facebook

Selecting the right tab for your Facebook Page can give you control over what people see and how they interact with your brands page. You can use this to your advantage to show off reviews, events, services you offer and much more. This is your chance to answer any questions someone who has never experienced your brand might have.

4. Make Template Posts

All Accounts

Having template posts will save you a lot of time, as well as help your brand look and feel consistent which is a key aspect of client trust. Keep these simple to make the best impact. A good rule of thumb is to use no more than 3 fonts and only a small handful of colours.

5. Share Content that Adds Value to Your Clients

All Accounts

Social Media will always be a 2 way street. So sure, share all the amazing work you are doing but put a little time into creating content that gives your followers a little value too. This could be anything from providing them with entertainment or teaching them some trade secrets.

These 5 tips will help make your brands look more professional and reliable for clients to refer too. If you found this post useful, let me know and I'll continue to make similar content.
